A Case Report of Carbamazepine Induced Agranulocytosis

Abstract
|
|
|
Carbamazepine is introduced for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia and seizure disorders,
particdulary in the management of partial seizure. Because of the low incidence of
adverse effects associated with this drug, there are often ignored or forgotten. A case in
whom agranulocytosis has developed after carbamazepine therapy because of trigeminal
neuralgia, which illustrate the hematopoietic stem cell interference in nature of this
adverse reaction, is reported.
